I'm in Texas!  It's very Texas-y, as one might suspect.  Forgot how much I missed palm trees.  And humidity.  And forgot that mosquitos really exist.

Tom flew to Massachusetts the day before yesterday.  He'll be gone for a week, so it's not too bad.  But I got ridiculously happy at his going away party.  I just wanted to jump in the lake and scare the ducks and be ridiculous with no regard for the sane life whatsoever.  I didn't even care when Kal sprinkled a wine cooler on a duck.  I would now were it not for the liquid-proof oils on ducks' feathers.  (We're lucky animals put up with so much, because one day we're going to have the Rise of the Animals, and it's going to be so much worse than the Rise of the Zombies, for obvious reasons.)

Did some Christmas shopping yesterday.  Literally shopped till I dropped, and I didn't even care.  The past two days have been magnificent; today, not so much.  But, anyway, we weren't sure what to get Niles, so we got him some belts, only to come home to him yelling, "I would rather get underwear than get any more stupid belts!!"

Okay, he didn't yell that, but he said something to that effect, and I just laughed at him.  And laughed some more.

And grades -- they were good.  I somehow got a B+ in Philosophy.  A full letter grade up from midterms (C+), so that was unexpected.  All that freaking out.  Story of my life, I guess.  (Even I admit that I'm a funny operator.)  So yeah.

ALSO -- I love my kitties!!!!!!!!!!!!   Yay!!  Kitties!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So...that's a pretty good summary of my life thus far.
